Following "Redemption" (1984), this 1986 Chinese-language album, Teresa Teng's second release from Taurus Records, is now available on a super
high-end analog record, "100% Pure LP"! Featuring songs primarily from her hit-packed original albums "Lover" (1985) and "Letting Myself Go with the
Flow of Time"" (1986), it also includes covers of "Merry X'mas in Summe" and "House Mannequin in the Night Fog" for which Teresa Teng herself wrote
the Chinese lyrics.
The "100% Pure LP" is a special Made in Japan product that debuted in 2012 and is a pioneer of modern high-fidelity records, attracting significant attention
from around the world. One of its features is the use of "Uncoloured virgin vinyl" eliminating all colorants that affect sound, such as carbon, which are normally
used in analog records. By using only pure straight vinyl chloride as the raw material, the stability of the molding is significantly enhanced.
Another key point is the use of "Metal master pressing" By eliminating the metal mother and stamper from the process leading up to the pressing of a normal
analog record, and pressing directly from a metal master, it is possible to create grooves with overwhelming fidelity. However, due to its inferior durability,
the number of pressings is strictly limited.
Furthermore, this release uses 45 RPM, the same as 12-inch singles, instead of the usual 33 RPM of LPs. Although this results in a double LP set with
shorter recording time on each side, it allows for wider and longer grooves, and the high rotation speed improves stability, creating a significant advantage
in detail reproduction and rich volume.
The audio source uses the latest 96kHz/24bit WAV files newly transferred from the original analog master tapes, and is mastered as flat as possible to
avoid compromising the freshness of the sound and dynamic range. We pursue a natural sound that is faithful to the original sound.
In summary, by thoroughly pursuing every step from the selection of master and vinyl materials to pressing, we have created "100% Pure LP" which maximises
the true value of vinyl records. While retaining the guts and warmth unique to analog, it unfolds a truly pure and clear sound, completely free of muddiness
and impurities.
