Concord Records is thrilled to release Sarah McLachlan’s first new album in 11 years this September.Better Broken was produced byony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius) and Will Maclellan. She will tour globally following the release. Sarah is one of the most accomplished singer songwriters today with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. She is a 3x Grammy Award winner and a 12x Juno award winner. Sarah’s writing credits include global hit singles:“Angel”,“Building a Mystery”,“I Will Remember You”,“Adia”,“Sweet Surrender” and more. In addition to her personal artistic efforts, Sarah founded the groundbreaking Lilith Fairtour, which showcased female musicians and brought over two million people together during its three-year run. Lilith Fair raised over $7 million for local and national charities and was the most successful all-female music event of all time. There is a Lilith Fair documentary slated for release this year.

In 2002, she founded her non-profit Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver, which provides free high quality music education and mentorship to children and at-risk youth facing various barriers to access. In 2016, two more schools were opened in Edmonton and Surrey. When Sarah McLachlan first emerged as a global phenomenon over three decades ago, the Canadian singer/songwriter introduced an unprecedented new voice into the pop canon: soulful, spellbinding, and supremely capable of transforming pain into transcendence. On her first album of new material in 11 years, the three-time Grammy-winner furthers her legacy with a selection of songs that speak an uncompromising but radically illuminating truth about the state of the human condition. The latest triumph in a career with countless milestones—including 12 JUNO Awards, over 40 million albums sold worldwide, and major cultural achievements like founding the groundbreaking Lilith Fair—Better Broken ultimately affirms McLachlan as an unparalleled artist whose nuanced perspective and unfettered empathy feel more essential than ever.
