After his volcanic Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction late in 2004, his huge Musicology album and its massive, game-changing tour, Prince then topped the charts with his 2006 album 3121 and was getting ready to mount his legendary Super Bowl performance. His 6 month Per4ming Live @ 3121 Las Vegas residency in 2006-2007 was a triumph and this release captures the magic of those intimate shows.
Captured January 20, 2007 and featuring over 2 hours of sweaty brilliance across 3 LPs pressed on crystal blue curaçao vinyl housed in a gorgeous gatefold, the setlist deftly combines hits from throughout Prince’s career with highlight tracks from 3121 and Musicology and amazing covers (from “Pass The Peas” to Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” to “Play That Funky Music”).
