The second release from Molten Soul Records is an ambitious project that reimagines "Tabaruzaka", a traditional folklore song passed down in
Ueki, Kumamoto Prefecture, as a contemporary musical work.
"Tabaruzaka" is widely known as a folklore song depicting the Satsuma Rebellion, the last civil war in Japanese history. On this release, pianist,
producer, and live performer Mark de Clive-Lowe—whose work spans jazz, broken beat, ambient, house, and experimental music—revives its historical
memory and sense of melancholy through a distinctly modern perspective.
The release includes "Bruk Perspective", evoking the intensity of the battlefield, and "Ambient Perspective", conveying a profound sense of reflection
and remembrance. It also features a remix by Kuniyuki Takahashi, an artist highly acclaimed across both Japanese and international dance music scenes.
Together, these works transform the folklore song's sense of place, prayerful spirit, and melodic beauty through the sensibilities of club music and ambient
sound.
Ahead of the release, Mark de Clive-Lowe also performed the project at Blue Note Los Angeles, presenting a new vision for the possibilities of Japanese
traditional music to audiences both in Japan and abroad.
Born from the memories of Japanese last civil war, "Tabaruzaka" is also a song that carries a prayer for peace. May the wars taking place in our time
become the last wars the world will ever know.

RETURNING GOODS

COST OF RECOVERY
In case the returned goods are not received within the specified conditions, we reserve the right to charge you for the direct costs incurred in recovering the goods.
REFUNDS
