This is a soundtrack album by Jonas Bjerre, his first new music since leaving Mew.
‘Hana Korea’ is a new Korean-Danish film about the challenges a North Korean girl faces after defection to South Korea.
The beautiful and atmospheric score features ‘Hike To The Sun’, a vocal track which will be released as a digital single ahead of the full album, features vocals by Yeohee Kim, better known under her pseudonym machìna.
‘Hike To The Sun’ has a breezy, sentimental feel, and the album features rich electronic soundscapes flowing from Jonas' love of modular and analogue synths, and was mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.
