In 1962, the master trumpeter Chet Baker recorded his beloved sessions at the RCA Studios in Rome, Italy.
Backing him was an impressive roster of up-and-coming European jazz musicians, including the saxophonist Bobby Jaspar.
The unique chemistry between the sextet is present throughout the album, which features interpretations of standards
by Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk and Sonny Rollins. For decades, critics have mentioned the album for its
unique classic status, which all jazz aficionados should experience.
