London-based DJ and producer Anish Kumar this year unveiled AK Cuts: Vol. 4, the definitive conclusion to his expansive four-part anthology. The series launched in October 2025 with the NYC-inspired Vol. 1, followed by the automotive and Indian-sampling textures of Vol. 2 in January, and the Italo-drenched Vol. 3 in May. In the final chapter, Anish turned his lens toward Americana, stitching together a tapestry of jazz, Spaghetti Western soundtracks, hip-hop, and house.
The full anthology finds inspiration in the great producer-led compendiums, from the French Touch elegance of Etienne de Crécy’s Super Discount to the raw productivity of Madlib’s Beat Konducta Series. For Anish, AK Cuts was designed to display breadth without losing cohesion, allowing him to flex various production muscles without giving the listener whiplash. Every track is underpinned by a purposeful 4-on-the-floor pulse, yet leans into a gritty, lo-fi aesthetic, eschewing pristine dance music in favour of the dusty, sampled textures that have become his signature.
The milestone project is commemorated with an eight-track vinyl compilation, 'AK Cuts: Greatest Hits'. The release features two essential highlights from each volume, and arrives ahead of a four Friday residency at London's Phonox this October.

REFUNDS
