Available on vinyl for the first time ever, The Amazing Snakeheads' 2 Meter Sessions is finally unveiled. This previously unreleased recording documents the band shortly after their signing to Domino Recording Company and the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, Amphetamine Ballads.
Recorded live-in-studio in Amsterdam in 2014 for the long-running Dutch radio and television series 2 Meter Sessions, it captures The Amazing Snakeheads at their most immediate and unfiltered, preserving a rare moment from their brief but unforgettable story.
Emerging from Glasgow's underground, the band forged a fierce blend of garage rock, blues and rockabilly, driven by the magnetic presence of singer Dale Barclay. Drawing comparisons to The Birthday Party and The Gun Club, they created a sound that was dark, visceral and unpredictable. For this session, Barclay led a new line-up with himself as the sole remaining original member, reflecting the group's evolution after Amphetamine Ballads.
After Dale Barclay's untimely passing in 2018 at the age of 32, this recording took on an even greater significance. More than a live session, it is a vital document of a singular act and a testament to his artistry. Pressed on Ultra Gold vinyl, this deluxe edition includes exclusive session photography, new liner notes by the original 2 Meter Sessions producer, and a facsimile reproduction of a written postcard by Laura St. Jude, Barclay's widow, offering a personal tribute to his memory and the legacy of The Amazing Snakeheads.

REFUNDS
