Some records arrive fully formed; others take over a decade to find their true shape. Originally released in 2010 as a hyper-limited cassette under the project name Pospulenn, Sun People Sleepwalker is the underground experimental masterpiece from Gainesville, Florida songwriter and multimedia artist Kane Pour. Emerging from the city’s mid-2000s DIY ecosystem of digital tape loops, guitar pedals, and lo-fi collage, the album was born from a completely unfinished process. Pour’s longtime collaborator Jeff Astin (Housecraft Recordings, Tricorn & Queue) assembled the initial release from abandoned takes, previously released tracks, and live snippets Pour had never heard—surprising Pour with a hauntingly cohesive, enduring collection that he hadn't originally intended to release in quite that way.
Bridging lo-fi psychedelia, ambient folk, and homespun bedroom recording, Sun People Sleepwalker captures an intimate emotional landscape of isolation, tenderness, and memory. Melodic guitar lines blur into delicate electronic textures and half-remembered soundscapes, creating a restorative listening experience that feels both deeply personal and strangely distant.
Over the years, the cassette developed a passionate cult following online, becoming one of 2010’s most highly regarded underground releases despite remaining largely out of print. After discovering the record via RateYourMusic and connecting with Pour directly, Aşar/Oath is giving this singular piece of Florida’s experimental underground its first-ever proper vinyl pressing and wide digital release. Imperfect, handmade, and deeply comforting, Sun People Sleepwalker is a testament to the strange, beautiful second lives that lost recordings can live.

RETURNING GOODS
If you decide to cancel your order, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. To complete the return process, send the goods back to our contact address at your own expense. Exceptions apply if we delivered the item in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
COST OF RECOVERY
In case the returned goods are not received within the specified conditions, we reserve the right to charge you for the direct costs incurred in recovering the goods.
REFUNDS
Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel the order, any payments made will be promptly refunded to you. You can expect the refund to be processed within 14 days of your cancellation.
